"Nature is red in tooth and claw." Animals kill mostly for food. It is very rare for an animal to kill for any other reason, except in its own defense. Humans, on the other hand . . . But then, some of what we do is far more civilized. Our food comes from animals grown for the purpose, cared for far better than they would be if they were wild, and slaughtered humanely. We do not play with our food the way a cat does with a mouse, for example.

But it is true that there are many people who are more cruel and criminal than any parallel in the animal world. There are no parallels in the animal world for most of what we do, and it is just as well. For good or ill, we are very different.

yes we do, and I think we humans are quiet simple minded and mean too, and yes we are destroying the the inveirment and livelihood of the animals as well as ourselves also.
And I am quit surprised that you are able to ask such questions!
I would say the answer for all that is Education , not the way that you get in lots colleges and universities, or most of them that you come uneducated with some degree , and you have not a bit of so called General Education, or sometimes any education.

Cruelty is indifference or pleasure in the presence of suffering. Seeing as animals hunt and kill not out of pleasure but rather out of survival needs, and humans are the only beings that have shown a tendency we can identify as conscious pleasure at another's suffering, I have to go with humans being the only truly cruel beings on the planet.

hell yeah..... the downful of humans is its intelligence. Animals have significantly lower level of intelligence and as a result, you can't really commit things that you dont know how to do......

Humans, tries to get involved in everything possible but animals only really focus on it's own survival.......

YES. When animals do something we perceive as cruel, they are doing it for survival or out of instinct. We humans should KNOW better.

we humans are the worse animal in the animal kingdom. we destroy homes of wild animals and get mad when they come into "our space", we are the only animal that will kill our own species and we could care less that we are so selfish and stupid about it
