FDR because of the New Deal. The New Deal recovered our nation from the Great Depression and kept us from becoming a 3rd world country.

2nd would be Clinton hands down.

In my opinion, George Washington was the greatest USA president because he was the first president.....he had no one to look up to. Others looked up to him after his presidency term was over. Also at first he didn't want to become president...

FDR.

He tried to bring capitalism to the next level (democratic socialism), helping America fulfill the creed we made with our blood in the Civil War and the Revolutioinary War - that all men are created equal and are born with inalienable rights - life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

It's been almost all backlash since, as the rest of the world moves forward in sharing resources and the USA moves backwards.
