Logic and intelligence was used in the Gulf war when Pres. George Bush decided not to go after Saddam. Logic and intelligence was also used by Pres. Clinton a few times in His Presidency when Saddam started saber rattling. Pres. Clinton bombed a few of His select sites to smithereens and Saddam shut up. Emotion as well as false intelligence got us into this Iraq quagmire and will be a long time getting out of it.
If logic and intelligence were used we would probably not have had Civil War, WWI, Korea, Vietnam or Iraq. As matter of fact if all countries would use intelligence and logic we would not have any wars. But that is something that is lacking very much especially in Washington.

I dont get the whole question. Actually, I think political decisions are made by emotion instead of logic and intelligence.

I'm inclined to think all political decisions ARE made by emotion currently, and would like to see what would happen if they were made by logic and intelligence. What planet are you emailing from?

Pretty much what you see today. There seems to be very little logic or intelligence used in the operation of our federal government, and if the Democrats get back in power, what little there is left will soon be gone!

Where have you been, what political decisions are made by logic and intelligence. They are all made on emotion, "I gotta stay in power" emotion.

Isn't that how we got Bush? No way that decision was based on logic and intelligence.

There is no escaping emotion, we are human beings and our politicians are going to allow their emotions to influence their decisions to some degree. I think that when it becomes a problem is when they play on the emotions of their constituents, by spreading false information to instill fear and paranoia, or by using certain kinds of language to gain trust.

What logic and intelligence do you speak of? It clearly isn't used in the current administration.
