I keep hearing how dumb Rumsfeld is, for not being omniscient. I can't really get what it is that people condemn him for; is it his character or his performance? I'm a fan of both.

Having said that, the wars are not being fought the way I'd like -- with so much overwhelming force as to totally demoralize the many enemies. But, this is a cultural shortcoming, very much reflected in our president & other representatives. As timid as Bush's admin. is, congress is infinately worse. Why, for example, have they not declared war? All of the liberty evaporations that we gripe about would be temporary -- reverting back after the war ended.
