I'm no fan of the GOP ... with its deficits up the yingyang it abandoned me a long time ago. What I am a fan of is slashing government to the bone to balance the budget. Why should I pay my hard earned money to support your retarded pet peeve program? If it's so important to you, why don't you pay for it yourself and let me be. I'm sick of your crap. CUT MY TAXES!

Coragryph - you are right. I mean Dems. My fault, sorry.
As for tax cuts going to the better earners, the system is designed such that they pay far and away the most. It is only natural that a cut would mostly go to that group. 1% of a million is stil more than 5% on 50k, so dollar wise the cut appears slanted.

Because your taxes pay me and my soldiers, army us, equip us, train us, deploy us, and protect us. With out your taxes I'm poop out of luck in a combat zone.
I agree the tax code should be simpler, but I think it should stay progressive and should definitely retain Capital Gains and Estate Taxes. Otherwise we will evolve an oligarchy of tax free wealthy people living off capital gains and inheritances.

The point of the tax cuts was to help grow the economy and increase revenue to the federal government. Having acomplished these goals, no logical thinking person should be against tax cuts. As you can see, many here are only capable of seeing that "the rich got more money back" even though the % of tax cut was actually fair. The rich pay at least 90% of the total tax bill anyway. If you're not paying in nearly as much, why do you expect to get more back from the tax cut?

I think the middle class of our society has been expected to pay more than their share of taxes. That is the way the tax laws are written and enforced. The super-rich have many loopholes that the middle class cannot take advantage of, and the impoverished do not make enough to finance government spending by themselves, Personally, I would like to see some of the super-rich people and companies be a little more philanthropic, like the Gates' have illustrated. Also, I think deficit spending is dangerous. If you or I deficit spend, we eventually get into big trouble.

I agree with tax cuts that the middle class and the working class deserve to have tax cuts. But when its just helping the rich thats useless for society. I believe in low taxation for the poor so that they can improve them selves, medium tax for the middle class, and a high tax on the rich since they have already become succesfull and should give back to society.

Just pay your taxes, and quit crying, I'm sure when the time is right you will take full advantage of what our government has to offer you. You should complain about the rising cost of gasoline.....that will save you more money than a tax cut!!!

Tax cuts, specifically Bush's tax cuts, don't benefit the lower and middle classes anywhere near as much as they benefit the wealthiest 1% of us. For that reason alone, I'm against the tax cuts as they're been done.
Now, if they come up with a tax cut plan that helps out the people who really need it, as opposed to further lining the pockets of rich and influencial friends of the administration, then I'd be in favor of it.

The problem with the tax cuts is that they are terribly unbalanced. They put more money back into the pockets of the wealthy rather than the poor and middle-classed. With a deficit in the trillions, the last thing the U.S. needs is tax cuts. What it needs is a scaling down of military actions and a return to responsible government (ie. vote for Hillary Clinton).

I am NOT against tax cuts, just those that Bush enacted. His tax cuts went to those earning the most, not those earning lesser amounts WHO NEED the tax cuts. Let me put it this way the people in the top percent of income got tax cuts not those at the lowest amounts of income.

Who would pay for their social programs? Who would pay for their ignorant ideas that usually end up failing? Who would pay for an increase in welfare benifiets?
To a liberal, cutting your taxes is like them taking a reduction in pay. Yes, you worked hard for your money but they believe in redistribution of wealth. Countless lazy filthy liberals are depending on your tax dollars.
