Bush and the repubs only care about corporate profits. They dont care about terrorism except that it can be used as an excuse to start wars that increase profits, and as an excuse to eliminate freedoms of Americans that threaten their power.

Actually, bunchik, it started with muskets and bayonettes, but I digress. Bush doesn't seem to care about anything remotely humane or logical. Let me tell you a little story about a sunny day, four airplanes and nineteen hijackers...and a whole generation of American high school graduates enlisting in the military who most likely would have done something else with their lives, had they not been motivated to protect their country. Too bad our president and his pals, who I remind you were after Iraqi blood well before 9-11, felt the need to lie to them, when it came time to invade Iraq, (which we should not have done) in the first place. "GAS, GAS, GAS!!" they all shouted when the invasion began. They must have been crapping their pants when they realized there was no GAS, GAS,GAS, but they still had to carry those worthless hazmat suits through the stinking sandstorms for another month. Now look what we've accomplished. Nada, baby. Things are just messier and uglier and dirtier. Yeah, I guess that was the plan. Get 'em all in one place (Iraq) and then, whammo, stuff a nuke up all their keisters and teach 'em not to mess with us. Nevermind the innocents, they're all just a bunch of hajiis with their heads in the sand and their butts in the air, right? Man, I hate this stinking rotten dirty death machine. I hope the "masterminds" of this war in Iraq are ultimately tried for war crimes and treason and all their other monkey business someday. Then maybe we all can start to heal.

I doubt any elected official starts off with the deliberate aim of engendering increased global acrimony against their own country. However, Bush’s penchant for catering to the self-serving interests of his corporate supporters, as well as his administration’s lack of understanding of other cultures has lead to the predicament we are in. What did you expect from a President who flaunts his disdain for learning, and never attempted to travel outside the United States before his presidency?
Next time we elect a President; let’s make sure that he has a superb understanding of the world around him. It should be a prerequisite that a President should be well traveled and that his Presidency should not have conflicts of interests with prior or current business partners (i.e. Dick Cheney and Halliburton).
As an aside I agree with you that bombs and democracy cannot go together. I have always insisted that it is impossible to force a democracy to happen, because at the very heart of democracy is the value of free choice. Unfortunately such a self-evident notion is lost on most Neocons.

The problem here is that when the west goes to war we feel we have to fight fairly.
In reality war can have no rules, except the rule that you win and do what ever it takes to win.
Our invasion of Iraq was based on the concept of turning the country into a free, democratic and civilized nation.
This of course ignored the fact that being an Arab Muslim nation
it is incapable of ever being civilized.
It wasn't the war as such that was misguided only how we went about it.
You do not invade a country to liberate it, you invade a country to in-slave it and that's exactly what we should have done.
we should have destroyed the entire country and everyone in it.

The whole invasion of Iraq was for Jr. to try to show up his Daddy and for the profits from oil and defense contracts. The Bush administration does not give a damn about any person on this earth unless they happen to be rich and are adding to those in the administrations ill gotten gains

I just think that would have happened anyway. I saw a commercial or PSA of Kurds thanking us for helping them. I'm not sure that was why we went in there in the first place, but it's not bad that it helped people. I think those who become terrorists are bent on that already and are just looking for an excuse. If they didn't have the war, it would have been something else.

Yes it was their plan. Because right now all of the government defense contractors are making double the profits. The oil companys that back them are making record profits. Their head honchos are retireing with billion dollar packages. Its all about the money with them.

Bush didn't know what he was getting into and had NO plan - and doesn't yet. It might be the rose colored glasses he has on - everything is perfect.

Doesnt matter he wont be around to clean up the mess. Its not him anyway, its the people in control who decided this war. Good thing 9-11 happened and they were able to invade.
