I wouldn't agree with the statement. Our government can sure be called the great Satan, but the nation as a whole? No. Most of us are against what our government is doing. At least the educated and informed among us.

None. The concept of Satan originated in the area roughly known as Kurdistan before it was incorporated into Judaism during the Babylonian Captivity.

Very few countries consider USA being the Great Satan, just a few political opportunists and their foolish followers.

Keep up the taqiyah. It amuses intelligent people. I still haven't figured out why you pretend to be an American, or even in America when you post from Great Britain, using lower caste British idioms in your posts.

I don't believe that it's justified. The United States pays out more in humanitarian aid than any other country in the world. Many of those that make the claim have no problem taking Satan's money.

It is ridiculous to call any country satanic. Its just a piece of land. Governments can be corrupt but not to the extent of being satanic. Governments are ruled by many checks and balances and must be held accountable for their actions. The general population can't be aspersed by that kind of terminology.

Well, Satan is an inherently Christian concept. And so many people keep arguing that the USA is a Christian nation. Thus, if the USA commits evil actions it would by definition be in allegiance with Satan.

Being that mainly everyone on these boards either lives in the US, or depends on the US for protection (Western Europe, Canada, ect.) I would find it odd and hypocritic if anyone found the US to be a "Great Satan".

"Countries" don't believe anything. People do. I'm not confident that what you say is accurate. The notion of "Satan" is not as universal as you may believe it to be. I think you may have heard these things more recently on newstories & have amplified their significance.

All governments are corrupt, including the U.S., but no other country in the history of the world has done more good and helped other countries more than the U.S.A.....that is a fact.

well, i figure any nation where people murder each other over ideologies, religions, race, color, creed or drug money would qualify for that lovely moniker. sooo...i'd have to say 98 % of the worlds nations would currently fit that description. i'm an equal opportunity insulter.

Well it just might have to do with the Satan running it and inflicting wars on everyone that disagrees.
