Below is a running total of the U.S. taxpayer cost of the Iraq War. The number is based on Congressional appropriations.
The War in Iraq Costs
$311,292,095,669 (http://nationalpriorities.org/index.php?...
Having spent over 311 BILLION dollars(and thousands of lives) to "free"Iraq has been worth it huh? There were NO TERRORISTS there. But there sure is now, thanks to Bushs campain to free iraq, why do they want to kill thier "liberators"?why don't they appreciate the 311 billion our kids kids will be paying interest on?They think we are invaders thats why.Why don't we fight the terrorist who attacked us on 9-11 instead of "nation building"Bushs war in Iraq is causing more terrorist, which hate America.why do the republicans support that?It makes us far less safe. What about North Korea,A country which could be a REAL threat? The money wasted in Iraq should be used to make us safer here at home, tightening our borders, protecting targets, and inspecting cargo ,not to create more terroists, right?

Look...... to go in circles over this is really senseless, some dont agree with our Military being in Iraq, some do. Some think our President is doing a lousy job, and some dont.
The fact is, we are there, and we will remain there until the job is finished.... Yes, our costs of living, etc has gone up, but, hey, we dont have terrorists running our streets pushing us around. We still have our freedom, so just be content.

worth it? NO! on the other hand i think your numbers are wack. i don't know where they got those figures but the cost has been sooo much higher. they probably got the numbers from the GAO which is not going to tell the truth anyway.
as for north korea, that's another story entirely. don't believe everything you hear. if everything goes right korea could reunify within the decade. that's scary as hell to the conservatives. there would be no need for the american military presence there anymore.

If we pull out right now....how much money to rebuild ? As far as Americans dieing ....ONE is too many to defend a people who don't want us there to start with. You say there were no terrorists there, I think there were. Women were taken to rooms for gang rapes. People in Iraq died at the hands of terrorists by torture, and there were many mass graves. I don't think they were justice seekers, they terrorized, trying to keep the people under that brutal dictator. They couldn't even vote him out of power, he would have had them killed. They asked for help from our government, I'm happy we could help. I don't think its wasted money.Saddam Hussein can't terrorize now,

My Dad, who was a WW2 and Korean Veteran who was also disaled from those wars, once told me that it is better to keep thy right hand from knowing what thy left hand is doing. He use to study the bible all the time and that saying is from the bible as I have read it myself.
I believe that is true of our Govt. as well. There is so much that is involved in keeping Americans Free as we like to say it. I am not going to say that our Govt. lied to us about WMD's, for I believe that just because we have not found them yet does not mean they do not exist. Iraq's land mass is quite substantial. These weapons could have been hidden any where under ground by Husein and after doing so he could have had anyone involved in the operations killed. Look at what he done to a lot of his own citizens. We have found some of his mass graves and i emphasise SOME. I just know there are more that we have not found as of yet. Also if he had destoryed these weapons as we know at one time he did have, Where is the evidence to this fact? There are other reasons for us to be in Iraq I am sure and that our Govt. can not reveal for Security Purposes. We as Americans want to wake up in the morning, have our breakfast, get in our big gas guzzling SUV's and go about our day doing what ever we want or need to do uninterruppted and free of fear that we will meet up with some suisidal maniac with a bomb attached to his a** ready to take himself and a bunch of us with him out.We also want to be able to go to bed at night and not have to worry that we will get up to a safe day again. These things come with a price tag. We expect our Govt. to see to it that that happens.
If you believe that there were no terorist in Iraq before we went in there you are wrong. Most all the terorist that pulled off 9-11 had been there in Iraq to meet with one of Huseins deputys just a short time before 9-11. We do know that Husein was supporting terorism in that country. Just as we know that Iran and Syria have been and are continuing to do so today. Do not forget that Al Quida was not just located in Afganhistan. This terorist organization had spread out all over the Middle East before we went into Iraq. The only similarity that this war and Vietnam has is in TIME. Also we lost a hellva lot more lives in Vietnam than we have in Iraq. This is not to say that one American soilder's life lost is not important. It is.
When the day comes and the Draft is reinstated all of you cowardly a**hole f***s don't just think of Canada as a place to run. Some of you head for Mexico also and while you are fleeing take as many of the child beaters and deadbeat dads and moms with you. We don't want them either.
