Because, the sweat shops aren't willing to pay what the government requires Americans to be paid! And Mexicans will work for little to nothing (by US terms), under the table. and for longer hours.
I agree, though, that it should happen that way, because I am getting sick and tired of supporting all the families of 12 (How many Millions of dollars is that anyway, you figure?), when I am barely able to eke out a living for my family of 4!! It p isses me off, having to support all the lazy God Dam n people in the US, who are having more kids every year, just so they don't have to work! Not that parenting isn't work, mind you..... But, they don't take care of them or nurture them at all, either! That is the real reason the US has such an illiteracy rate..... Because "parents" are no longer Parents!! They just don't give a shi t about anyone (even their own children), other than themselves! That is why the US has the more alcoholics, drug addicts, and obese people than any other nation in the world..... LAZINESS!! Look out for #1 is the new National Motto of this "Civilized" society!

??? Okay, what does your question have to do with your text? If you want to get rid of illegals, fine employers that KNOWINGLY hire them and don't allow them to have access to welfare benefits.
As for LEGAL Americans on welfare, let us not forget that welfare is intended for their CHILDREN. Maybe the parent is sorry as hell, but let's not punish the child for that. I say regulate it to the point where the funds can NOT be used inappropriately, kind of like WIC is done (except make Vouchers for clothing for the kids, things that are NEEDED, etc.).
Also, let us not forget again that sometimes people fall on hard times, and they use welfare until they can get back on their feet. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone is a "Welfare Queen".
And another thing: you want American citizens to work those jobs that illegals are working? Pay them a living wage! What is the incentive for them to get off welfare if welfare pays just as much or MORE than picking tomatoes or whatever?

I don't think you're actually American...in America we have rights for everyone, not just some. It's in the US Constitution. This nation is founded on the principles that are all created equal, so that would be against what we stand for.
