I want to encourage small countries to combine, either with each other or with larger states.

For example: Belgium to be split between France and Holland. The Czech Republic and Slovakia to reform and become Czechoslovakia.

Or the Republic of Ireland becomes part of the UK. Canada joins the USA. Swaziland is incorporated into South Africa.

There are just too many countries around, and I think there could be great savings to be made if we had less of them.

Can you suggest some other countries that should merge?

Thanks. I'm not interested in your misguided views, but want some further examples of countries that can be combined. The idea of a country for liberals is an interesting one, so maybe some more thoughts around that if your geography is a bit weak?

No, but it would be nice if the commie libs left and started their own country. I'm sure it would be filled with peace and love and roads paved with licorice and gumdrops and everyone would love everybody and the sandman would put the children to sleep each night while mommy and daddy snuggle and drink hot cocoa. Even the terrorists would love the liberal country, they would grow flowers instead of blowing themselves up and everything would just be peachy. Liberals are pathetic.

Well, I noticed that you concentrated on Europe there...what about this side of the puddle??

Would you rather see a few powerful countries, or many small ones that hold onto their diverse culture & way of living..
& if the Northern Belgians wanted to live in the Netherlands, they would be going there, & the Southern to France.

I have been there, Belgium has a rich history & culture & I would not change anything about them in any way!

Who are you to tell people what country they should be part of?

What if I decreed that your family should be split up for some silly odd reason as you just showed?

In 1812, the canadians burnt your white house, made off with the presidents wifes' pillow, then decided to call it a day. Because your beer is only 3.2, and we had a hockey game on saturday. This time there is no hockey, we'll bring our own beer, and you have tim hortens' now so we're good on the coffee. So we'll schedule the invasion of the states and mexico, ah hell, we'll skip across the pond and take cuba too. We do need a warm spot to vacay. And we'll name it the The Under Belly of Canada. See ya soon........

I figure there are small countries because people don't get along with their neighbors...no use in forcing them to combine. Even Iraq wants to split.
