I thought he was running as a Republican. If the bigots want Hillary, they deserve her. This guy is pulling the same stunt as the Kennedys.

A long time ago everyone but a few strange people thought the world was flat. The same thing is happening about Joseph Smith and the "special new testament of Jesus Christ".

Maybe it is is time most Christians realize the world isn't flat.

The real answer to your question is what does it matter what religion Mitt Romney is if he is good at his job. I thought there was a separation of religion and politics.

If the question is why don't Christians believe the stories it is most often because they do not have a clue what "Mormons" believe or even what the "story" is. Even those who are well educated and have attended years of theology school often cannot correctly relate even the most simple list of beliefs or the most rudimentary history of the Mormons. Go to Mormon.org, read through what they believe. Then go to ANY local pastor, minister, or priest and ask them to tell you what the Mormons believe or the history of the faith and see how badly they do. A moron is a person who is notably stupid or lacking in good judgment (dictionary.com). What could possibly be more moronic than to condemn a belief about which someone has little or no knowledge or understanding?

pay attention, your bigotry is exhibiting. If Mitt Romney gets sufficient votes then he could be allowed to be President. final time I checked there became no non secular attempt for those wanting to circulate into place of work. because no Mormon has ever been President, you does no longer comprehend in the event that they could be worse or greater appropriate than Obama. Reminder: that's what they mentioned approximately JFK. Harry Reid is likewise Mormon and he's a Dem. Mormons (LDS) do no longer prepare polygamy.

Why should the person's religeon matter at all? Mormons are Christians, so it's not like they would do much different than all the other Christian presidents . Hillary would destroy the country so i'd be happy to have romney as our presidente. What a stupid question to ask... honestly. Do you even know anything about Joseph Smith, or do you just assume you do? The only MORON is the one who decides to call members of another church morons. We believe what we beleive and if you don't like that im sorry. You dont see the mormon church talkin bad about other churches do you? NO. Christ like people are the ones who accept others, no matter what they beleive.!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been an enthusiastic Mormon since I was twenty. I take issue with your assertion that Mormons are morons. The facts are exactly the opposite.

Most LDS congregations are likely to have several returned missionaries who served in foreign lands. They are fluent speakers of the language, and have a deep understanding of the country, based on living and working closely with the citizens for two years. Not long ago, I was eating lunch in a small LDS community over a hundred miles from a major city or even an interstate highway. I mentioned that my son had accepted an assignment from his employer in Mongolia. Someone at the next table leaned over and said she and her husband had just completed a mission there. We spent a fascinating hour conversing about everyday life in Ulaanbaatar.

In general, church members are somewhat better educated than the general population. More telling is the strong correlation between education and activity in the church. The more education a member of our faith has, the more likely they are to be active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The percentage of activity increases with additional education, with about 75% of college graduates attending regularly, and almost 80% of those with graduate degrees.

I’d recommend you take a serious look at Mormonism. That’s what I did during my sophomore year in college. It changed my life!

You're the moron for not doing your homework. The Book of Mormon is a written document of the ancient people who lived on the American Continent thousands of years before Columbus landed. Christ visited these people after his resurrection and told them of His church and how it should be ran. This is the LDS or Mormon faith. We are Christians. Other Christians choose not to believe it because they have not read the Book of Mormon and the bible together (yes, we read both) and they have not prayed honestly about it.

A Mormon as president? GOD HELP US ALL! I live in Utah and am Mormon, although rebellious at best, due to the fact that I don't blindly follow all the Mormon doctrine. If you think politicians are corrupt and hypocritical now, just wait till you have Mormon as president. They'll preach one way and act like they are all good, but they will be complete hypocrites who are only concerned about furthering themselves financially! It's really "Doublestandardville" around here sometimes. Mormons will tell people it's wrong to do one thing, but then go to it themselves, as if it's okay for them to do it. I would much rather have Hillary as president than Mr. Romney, and I'm a republican, but not extremely right-winged like most of the Mormon republicans in Utah

Just because the "rest' of the christians believe something doesnt make that true either. Dont think the christian majority in this country has all the answers.
DONT GET ME WRONG ~ the mormons are whacked! Its as ridiculous as scientology. pure fiction.
Im pretty sure that the only way to get a mormon elected in the US would be thru illegal and un-democratic means.
Im hoping this present administration is the last extreemly religiously aligned admin we have to put up with. Its just bad for representation of the people.
We need to make sure we vote with keeping church and state as far apart as possible.

Tsk Tsk. You sound like a hate-monger. God asked us all to respect and value each other. You don't have to believe like the Mormon's do (I don't),but you have to value their right to free speech and religious freedom. That is what makes our country great.
