In the last few years, freeing Iraq of their dictator is suddenly the most important thing to Americans. Not our economy. Not what's being done with our budget. Not which policies and laws are in our highest interest. And now when you speak against this war in Iraq, you are viewed as a traitor. Our own dictator makes us feel this way. President, I mean.

Let's see. I'd rather live in Japan, England, Italy and probably Antarctica more than this one because of the lack of complete f.uckups such as yourself in those countries.

I never said Bush did the things Hussein did. That's stupid. I'm talking about psychological dictatorship, the things going on in people's attitudes that influences the way we behave and socialize with fellow citizens about what's going on in this country.

Although we don't have a dictatorship we are smothering them with the way we want them to do things. Don't you think it should be up to the people of Iraq? I think when we are gone, they will just put someone like Saddam back in charge (it's what they know). Economy is not good, and it won't be. Unemployment is at its lowest in 2 years (but it was better 7 and 8 years ago - at less than 2%)....dont make it sound good right now. I don't think it makes a difference that .25% it dropped from the 6% it was at 2 years ago!! Something is being done with the budget....it's going out the window to the War and other countries.

Dude, you are striking the knot, I mean we all want some peace for a change, right? at least those who work for it or care to bother who don´t apreciate it. Matter is most on earth figure already don´t want democracy, freedom, strings attached or fast food anymore, for crying out loud, so what is the problem, I´d say it is the inmigration otherwhere. If you don´t like it you want it out, same other places, how dare they, right? but they do not have the audacity or the privilege of being americans. As we speak there are thousands complaining in 110 countries because their governments are too paying more importance to Iraq than to their own blemishes and issues, bastards. So the thing here is they will as thrid world countrymen go along or perish in the process as they do not adapt to american and united nations necesities, pondering upon this sad subject I too think it is not just the lack of satisfaction, money, or education. People do not care, so let´s just pretend there are borders to them and live on with some debts no doubt but with dignity and god. Hail America.

Why didn't you vote last time? That would be the only way you could have that feeling in this country. If you voted and lost. So what we all do from time to time. Get over it.

Not liking the war does not make you a traitor it makes you human. It is how you speak about it that makes a difference. I do not like it either but, we need to finish the job now that we are there and make sure what we went there to do is taken care of.

Perhaps you could be more specific about the particular dictatorial policies you are concerned about.

Our economy? Last I checked, it is doing quite well. In fact, the latest unemployment figures are the lowest we've seen in years. Home ownership up, no sign of a bubble.

Ok, yeah, I'll give you the budget. But that's congress. I for one am ready to vote against every incumbent.

As for laws, I am curious. What has Bush done that even comes close to what Hussein has done? Has Bush sent troops to gas Mormons to death? Has Bush executed members of his immediate family? Has Bush put his daughters in charge of torturing and murdering people he considers threats? Has Bush played host to various terrorist organizations? Has Bush paid money to the families of suicide bombers? Has Bush ever assassinated anyone in his rise to power? Has Bush ever cut off electricity to people he didn't like, while keeping it on for the residents of Crawford, Texas?

You need to get your head balanced.

Oh, here's a sign of the dictatorship I forgot: If you call your buddy in his cave in Tora Bora, our intelligence agencies might monitor you. Of course, in the real world, that is considered prudent. Just like it would be prudent to keep an eye on a guy with a gun walking into a bank.

UPDATE: Psychological dictatorship?! Holy prophet on a stick! You can't be serious. Are you that frail, so constitutionally weak, so fragile that mere dissent is psychological dictatorship in your mind? I see why you'd prefer to live in a country where everyone thinks in lockstep with everyone else and there is as much variety in opinion as there is at a political party convention. If you can't handle free-wheeling debate, diversity of opinion, and general intellectual freedom, then one of those quasi-socialist countries would probably be better for you. No loss to us.

If you don't like the way we do things, leave... you're free to go. Luckily our country allows you to post things the way you do. Saddam tortured and killed innocent people.
Again --our president can not pass any law nor restrict any privilege.
Maybe you should research what you ask before you ask...
You should also support the country you live in. Men and Women are dying for your right to speak against our wars. Respect them.

You are a complete fool! Our president can not pass any law nor restrict any privilege. You have no idea what you are talking about and should be ashamed to post such a ridiculously simple minded and uninformed question.

Its not that you speak against the Iraq war (that is your right as an American) It is how you speak against the war. When you say jackass things like "our dictator" it makes you sound like an asshole.

Oh, yeah, it's just so horrible and terrible here - just the worst place ever; what will we do!?!

I have an idea for you - name ONE (only one, it shouldn't be too hard, right?) other country in which YOU would prefer to live. No, not a country that you THINK you'd prefer to live in - one that you KNOW that you'd prefer over this one.

THAT I'd like to see!
