What do you think this is, the French Revolution? You can't arrest someone just because you don't like them, or disagree with their policies. Remember, they were elected. As long as their actions are within the Constitution, and even then, Constitutional disagreements are resolved in the courts, not by a mob eager for a beheading.

And exactly how does a "World Court" make a trial more legitimate? Most of the world does not live in freedom. Most of the world does not recognize the values of the Enlightenment. Do we really want our President on trial in front of judges answering to the likes of Vladimir Putin, Hugo Chavez, Hu Jintao, Robert Mugabe, and the rest of the multitudes of rights-violating, murdering creeps who happen to hold the reins of power in their respective nations?

And this totally ignores the role of geopolitics. Do you really think that Russia, for one example, would be an honest judge when they stand to gain economically with the downfall of our president and our strength in the world?

It really peeves me, the naivete of some people who somehow think that the rest of the world is capable of only the noblest intentions, and only the US is capable of acting badly or selfishly.

George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld SHOULD NOT BE ARRESTED on War Crimes because they have done nothing wrong but protect the United States of America and keep her safe.

Actually yes they should be tried for their war crimes. they should be impeached, tried for their continued violations of American laws as well.

Convicted? Most probably, however, there is the golden thread that runs through the law, the presumption of innocence. Better many criminals go free than one innocent man be wrongly convicted.

I think it is pretty clear that Bush would go down for all the laws he has broken. (over 800 and climbing) and it is doubtful he is in it alone so I think there would be convictions.

The other answers I read to your question make it clear however, that ignorance is still the norm for Americans. Sort of makes me ashamed.

I wouldn't think so...how about you? Would you be happy if the leaders of the free world were handcuffed, tried and convicted by a "world" court? Since you asked the question is that what you're for?

i think that their should be an investigation into all involved with decision making before 9-11-01 and after 9-11-01 that would look into their financial records and stock accounts also an investigation into any theory that implicates any individual in our government hierarchy that has allegations of communistic ties both politically and privately yes use their patriot act against them and invade there lives to see what turns up and since they are holding public jobs make all aspects of that investigation public knowledge except family and personal issues

i'm able to assure you that everywhere interior the worldwide any of them % to pass, they are going to be paid tens if not 1000's of 1000's to talk to crowds, and take transport of lunch interior the coolest deal. this is fantastically not likely that any of them have any criminal concerns of their futures. do you be responsive to who would be their loudest defender could any foreign places united states make noises approximately that? Barack Obama (by way of his chosen lawyer known). the final element ANY President will desire to do is enable the precedent to be set that a foreign places united states could desire to prosecute an Ex American President. suitable or incorrect, they are not going to allow the hollow of a door that they themselves could desire to get dragged by way of sometime. Sorry in case you do unlike that, yet i think of believing something is wishful thinking on somebody's area without foundation actually.
