Hasnt anyone noticed that all the wars and allegations against nations have been against Muslim nations? Surely people would see through the battle plan to make a new middle-east! So much for diversity.

Unfortunately most Muslims are decent people that have their entire reputation tarnished by the fact that a section of their side of humanity are people with 15th century intelligence but holding 21st century technology. The bit that makes it very difficult for the good ones is that it isn't a tiny minority that are backward but a rather large minority. Because that minority is so large and have no interest in acting for any advancement except thier own the whole populus suffers for their actions. There is no right answer to the problem, it just needs to be waited out. 5000 years ago the Middle East was way ahead of the West, now the roles are reversed, but they'll catch up. Only then can the current crisis be resolved.

Very simple my friend...Lack of knowledge & even worse than ignorance is that they have no interest in finding out what it is that they are all shouting about....it's been the same all through history, what people dont understand personally they dont stand up for. They just settle into a nice line behind all the pepole who make the most noise like sheep and go Baaaa..!! It's a joke, anyone who knows any Muslims (& not this small radical section thats giving the rest a bad name) will know that they are some of the most honest and decent people that walk among us.

Ignorance is bliss for these poor souls and from some of the answers on this page i am sorry to say that i cant see it changing any time soon. I lived in UAE for a quite a few years & some of my best friends are Muslims. It's a sad state of affairs & the people who know what i am talking about know exactly what i mean.

We are products of our envoirnment & because of this most people are quite comfortable letting our decisions be made for us. Not realising the fact that we actually have very little say in what actually happens.

I'm not sure how to answer this question. It seems that the questioner is guilty of exactly the same crime of which he accuses "everyone" in America and England.

People are individuals and there are many in the West who don't follow the fundamentalist line. Unfortunately, many people are stupid and blindly believe what they are told, by newspapers, TV, religious leaders (of all faiths) and other sources they don't have to think about.

Also, from a quick look at the answers others are giving you'll probably get a bad view. These are for the most part morons, giving one line answers because they find it too hard to actually think about and address the question. Think for yourselves. Don't follow anyone.

If you are going to go round accusing everyone in America and England of thinking Muslims are evil, then you are far more guilty of prejudice than the entire population of America and England. And if a large number of Muslims decide mass murder of civilians in western countries is appropriate, even while knowing the level of anti-war feeling, it's not very surprising if there is more anti-Muslim feeling.

An interesting question, but based on a falsehood. Americans & Brits dont think Muslims are evil, its just that perpetuating this rubbish is in the interest of those who want to con Muslim youth into murdering people. The only winners are the evil leaders of Islam, not the faith, not the follower & certainly not Allah.

Apathy and lack of real information .

The independence of print and TV media disappeared in the media consolidations of the 1990s. Today a handful of large corporations own the traditional media. The wealth of these corporations consists of broadcast licenses, which the companies hold at the government's discretion. Newspapers are run by corporate executives, whose eyes are on advertising revenue and who shun contentious reporting. The result is that the traditional media are essentially echo chambers for government propaganda.

The Internet and the foreign news media accessible through the Internet are the sources of alternative information. Many Americans have not learned to use and to rely on the Internet for information.

Many Americans find the government's message much more reassuring than the actual facts. The government's message is: "America is virtuous. Virtuous America was attacked by evil terrorists. America is protecting itself by going to war and overthrowing regimes that sponsor or give shelter to terrorists, erecting in their place democracies loyal to America."

Sugarcoated propaganda doesn't present Americans with the emotional and mental stress associated with the hard facts.

In National Socialist Germany, by the time propaganda lost its grip, Germans were in the hands of a police state. It was too late to take corrective measures. Not even the military could correct the disastrous policies of the executive. In the end, Germany was destroyed. Does a similar fate await Americans? With recession about to hit its very possible .

The more advanced countries just invent their own terror and then identify it where they want it to be, so they can then attack to achieve their agendas.

You cant fight terror it is an idea "the war on terror" is just buzz words to keep the sheeples happy at home and not thinking too much.

I used to think that MOST Muslims were non-violent people who respected other religions. Maybe that was the case once, but in the world today, too many people CALLING themselves Muslim are running things and using violence against innocent people. Too many advocate the destruction of ALL Jews! That's just wrong!

Many people don't know that Islam's tendency toward violence itself originated in Mohammed's own army attacking the other religions in and around Mecca. It was similar to Christianity's violent "Crusades".

As early as the 1920's, the Islamic Brotherhood formed in Egypt and advocated assassination of any non-Islamic leaders and people, as well as Muslims who WERE tolerant! Known terrorists are harbored by almost every Muslim government in the world, just as Northern Ireland harbored "Christian" terrorists (the IRA). It's insane!

This history has gone on for decades and just gets more and more violent. Muslims...or ANY religoius group, must stop advocating violence and stand up against it if they want to be SEEN as non-violent!

I say the same thing to fundamentalist Christians who claim to be bringing peace and "Democracy" to the Middle East. They're just as hypocritical.

Not everyone in America believes that Muslims are evil. Sadly we are discounted and called crazy and unpatriotic and called liberal like it is a dirty word. Some of us Americans can see how things truly are and not view our countries actions through rose colored glasses. Please dont think we all support Bush or this war. Some of us know what this war is actually about and are very much against it.We cant do anything about it. Our government has been hijacked by people with a very sick agenda.
