Polls for the last 6-9 months have consistently shown that the majority (50-61%) of Americans either want a withdrawl of forces in Iraq, or think the war was a mistake.

When it was 20% of Americans that thought that, the Republicans and conservatives said those people were crazy anti-American leftists who hated Bush, but now that it is around 60%, does that still hold true?
What about Republican Congressman that are part of the 60%? Do they hate American too? OR do polls not matter now that they don't favor Bush? Or are pollsters now anti-American too?

Americans don't hate America, they just want it to improve as they always have. It has always been our cherished right to gripe and complain about stuff going on here, but that's why things get done, like gaining independence from England, abolishing slavery, giving women almost the same rights as men, (still working on that one), welfare, social security... all of that happened because people hollered and complained loud and long. It's highly dangerous to just accept everything politicians do without question. That's how people like Hitler get started.

It is a ploy to deceive Americans that the job in Iraq is progressing. There are agendas and monies out there loving the fact in seeing the American people turn on the Troops as well as our Commander In Chief.

President Harry S Truman had to deal with the Koreans. His number one adversary was Army General Douglas MacAurthur. Even though he was the President of The United States of America he could not let a four star general order him into a position.

Sometimes there is not an answer. And sometimes waiting is the best answer.

I believe a small minority of individuals against our efforts, don't have a job and afraid of the draft. The rest are just cowards or sheep!

General Douglas MacArthur led the struggle, aggressively pushing the conflict nearly to the Chinese border after scoring a stunning victory at the Battle of Inchon. In October 1950, China intervened on North Korea's behalf and to protect its own border, raising the specter of a third world war. MacArthur urged Truman to attack Chinese bases across the Yalu River and use atomic bombs if necessary.

Truman refused both suggestions. The Chinese pushed American and allied forces far back into South Korea, but after much bloody conflict the opposing forces eventually found themselves near the original border between North and South Korea. MacArthur publicly aired his views on the shortcomings of US strategic decision-making despite direct orders that MacArthur clear all public statements with the Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon.

There is NOTHING more American than being able to voice our opinions. Even if it goes against what the President says. What would you rather have a blind allegiance?? The war in Iraq is a mistake and good people have died so I can voice that opinion. If you want to live in a country where we can't question our elected you'll have to move to a communist country.

The ghost of the Third Comintern hates America. Americans generally like American principles of individual responsibility and personal freedoms. In fact, why is it that so many people want to leave their totalitarianist and corrupt countries and move here? Why aren't Americans trying to break through the border guards to escape to Canada and Mexico in search of freedom and personal fulfillment?

The people who hate America are either dupes or operatives of the Comintern. They generally operate thought processes at most Universities and much of the Media. For more information, check out Ramsey Clark and the World Worker's web sites....

Americans don't hate America. This, as you say, is a non sequitur from the Right. Many of us dislike our government because they lied to get into office and are now directing government money to friends and business associates. This was exposed during the Katrina disaster, though it's been going on in Iraq for years now. Those on the Right want to continue their money train, so they use politics and religion as rhetorical shields against their critics.

Seems a bit confusing!

Not liking Bush has got NOTHING to do with being anti american - the Bush goons set that up as a PR thing.

On the contrary!
Being anti Bush or disagreeing with the government is VERY American! Its what America is all about: Being FREE!

Being free to speak your mind (without getting harrassed) being free to chose the President, being free to follow or disagree and being free to LOVE THE NATION - without being forced to do so!
