Apathy and lack of real information .

The independence of print and TV media disappeared in the media consolidations of the 1990s. Today a handful of large corporations own the traditional media. The wealth of these corporations consists of broadcast licenses, which the companies hold at the government's discretion. Newspapers are run by corporate executives, whose eyes are on advertising revenue and who shun contentious reporting. The result is that the traditional media are essentially echo chambers for government propaganda.

The Internet and the foreign news media accessible through the Internet are the sources of alternative information. Many Americans have not learned to use and to rely on the Internet for information.

Many Americans find the government's message much more reassuring than the actual facts. The government's message is: "America is virtuous. Virtuous America was attacked by evil terrorists. America is protecting itself by going to war and overthrowing regimes that sponsor or give shelter to terrorists, erecting in their place democracies loyal to America."

Sugarcoated propaganda doesn't present Americans with the emotional and mental stress associated with the hard facts.

In National Socialist Germany, by the time propaganda lost its grip, Germans were in the hands of a police state. It was too late to take corrective measures. Not even the military could correct the disastrous policies of the executive. In the end, Germany was destroyed. Does a similar fate await Americans? With recession about to hit its very possible .

It's funny to read this, because some republicans say the same thing about Democrats.

It's not the political party that decides your standards and views of life. By choosing one, is saying they're the closest to the values you hold.

For example, I'm against gay marriages and feel that marriage is a unity between a man and woman. I believe we need to protect our freedom before someone takes it away from us and not be wimpy about it. I also feel we the people are able to spend our own money without the government trying to do it for us. I've enjoyed the tax breaks. I feel the republican party best represents those views at this time in politics.

The next election for President is going to be a doosy to decide who to choose and our choices are crutial, don't just base it on being a faithful political party participant.

I recommend that the top shrink for contributions be executed away with, and that the optimum payouts in retirement nonetheless stay as they are, adjusted for inflation. Social risk-free practices isn't a "supply away" application yet one that all of us make a contribution to love a mark downs plan, and could be secure against different makes use of by the government. Do you compromise or disagree and why? while you're so frightened approximately it then why do no longer you; first placed it decrease back into the interior maximum sector and make to have been no can take out money from it for his or her very very own interest, 2nd pay decrease back each and every penny you have borrowed from the two Social risk-free practices and Medicare, 0.33 take the unlawful immigrants off of it and people who come over right here yet in no way paid a penny to it, and ultimately have it the comparable for each guy or woman; in different words government officers are to take part in it and in the event that they like something greater they do it on their very very own devoid of the tax payers investment it?yet, the economic stytem feeding the imbalances had in no way been rather replaced. They, a team of scholars, mentioned that all and sundry quotes of interest could be 3% or much less for each guy or woman to become wealthy if wanted (that could desire to be real additionally to taces). the perfect financial subject could be, they mentioned, while there have been no quotes of interest. Why no longer attempt this answer? the wealthy might nonetheless be wealthy. My question is: while soial risk-free practices turns right into a undertaking related to federal costs, why no longer paintings with a balanced or income funds and spend no greater desirable than is presented in, as any relatives has to try for? Why no longer ban all loobying presents so as to get rules that serve the rustic? God bless u.s..

I'm a liberal Democrat but I don't think most Republicans are "un-informed". There are people on both sides of the fence who come across that way. It's ignorance to stereotype people on how they vote.

Ignorance and stupidity is not Specific to any one Party. I remember on a local Talk show when asked by the Host why she voted for Clinton the callers response was she voted for him because he was just so Handsome. Need I say More.

I find more Democrats on Answers running off at the mouth and making statements without any proof or ability to substantiate them.

Democrats are by far the craziest and least intelligent. They deal in absolutes and need no proof to support their statements, and get apolplectically crazy when asked to provide a credible source.

Surely you jest. Certainly you ask a question from a false premise. Is this a necessary prerequisite for venting your vitriol? Where is the tolerance you say you prize so highly?

Maybe a better question would be is why are blindly partisan questions stupid?
