"I don't believe in making policy by blog."

So now we shouldn't think about things our government does?

I thought freedom of speech and freedom to assemble were protected so that the people of this country could celebrate their ideas and share them in a civilized manor. He's asking for our opinions on this matter and your opinion on blogging has little to do with this.

My opinion: I don't like it. We did the same thing with Israel and countless other countries. Why? Why do we hate it that other countries are developing nuclear technology but then we give it out like crazy.

From the beginning of Nuclear Arms (post WW2) no two countries that posses the weapons have ever fought. The theory of Mutually Assured Destruction has of today worked in a perverse way. India's current immediate enemy is Pakistan. It is believed Pakistan is capable of producing and delivering a Nuclear Missile. If the theory holds these two countries will cease hostilities when both acknowledge the ability to produce and deliver these weapons. I assume you meant weapon technology not nuclear technology for electrical power generation.

India has had Nuclear power plants and Nuclear warheads for many years (as have Neighboring Pakistan). The Nuclear Genie is out of the bag in that part of the world.

We need to concentrate on Keeping it out of Others Hands (like Iran and Syria). Not keeping safety Upgrades out of those who already have Nuclear Power.

India has had nukes since Clinton was President. Now the government wants to help India build nuclear power plants to provide power without covering the planet in a cloud of green house gasses. Isn't that what liberals have been crying for for 6 years, reducing green house gasses?

If US companies don't do it French and German companies will, maybe even Russian, remember Chernobyl? What's wrong with helping the environment AND helping a few US companies win multi-billion dollar contracts?

Did your mother constantly feed you big bowls of Stupid-O's when you were younger? We DID NOT give So-Damn-Insane any CBR weapons. He developed them on his own! Tanks, yes, firearms yes, artillery yes...The mines were a hold over from the days when he was in bed with the Soviet Union.

I'd wager to say that the ghost of Dr. Goebbels cackles every time you open your mouth.
