Have all of you conservatives just completely forgotten that during the Iran-Iraq war we armed both Iran and Iraq? Did you forget that we gave Saddam WMD's more than 20 years ago? Do you thi nk maybe that is why some arabs dont like us? Because we lie and doublecross every chance we get?

No im not saying he had WMDs im saying over 20 years ago he did because we gave them to him, he then used them to gas IRAN, but the Kurds, yes his "own people" were too close to the Iranian border and got him.SO NO i am NOT saying he had WMD's

No, actually, I never knew in the first place that we gave Saddam weapons, and I did not know that any liberal would ever say that Saddam actually did have WMD's. And just because we gave both sides weapons doesn't mean we doublecrossed anyone. Maybe we just wanted both factions out of the picture. Or maybe we needed money. Or just possibly Reagan went crazy. Who knows? Answer your own question. Did you also forget that Saddam had mustard gas shells that we did NOT give him? and that he used them on his own people, simply because their religion didn't agree with his? Don't ask these questions
Excuse me 'gk' but if we had wanted the oil, we wouldn't still be in Iraq, we wouldn't still be spending money, AND we would have it already, rather than setting up a government that will drill the oil itself and keep all the money.

Yes Saddam had CBW -- in 1988. Yeah there were a few left over that were found recently. This was not the reason given for invading Iraq. The Bush Administration told the American People that they were in imminent danger of being attacked by Iraq with nuclear weapons. That was the "Big Lie" for all you Goebbels fans.

These neocons manipulate foreign affairs and completely ignore the fact that their manipulations created this mess. They destroyed one of the only Arab governments that didn't support Osama. They gave Iraq arms to protect against Iran and then took Saddam and his party out of power only to have a Shiite led Iraq that is heavily influenced by Iran. Isn't that something....

Saddam is still following orders - he appears in court every day and remains openly defiant as his defense attorneys are killed left and right. Who knows what his defense attorneys knew such that those secrets would never see the light of day.
Saddam's trial is a sham and he ought to spend the rest of his days living on Bobby Kennedy's estate in Arlington, VA.

Liberals created this problem, feed this problem and prevent effective measures for dealing with this problem. That's why this situation is dealt with through backdoor politicking.
