Two words...KARL ROVE
Like him or hate him, Karl Rove is a political genius. He is the reason why Bush is in office. He is the reason Bush can do just about anything and still win elections...so...what else could Bush do to help the Democrats??? Fire Karl Rove.
Personally, I think Rove is a criminal, but he does his job well. Afterall, he is one of the masterminds behind getting Bush into the White House originally. Even after he lost teh election in 2000. Yes, I believe a full recount of Florida votes would have placed Al Gore in the White House.

The President gave a speech on Thursday, filled with the same propaganda, talking points and empty rhetoric from an Administration that has allowed some of the most dangerous regimes in the world to flourish. Republicans refuse to live up to their responsibility for the fact that under their watch, America is less safe at home and around the world. The Bush Administration is worried more about its party's political prospects this fall than about how to protect America and fight and win the real war on terror. Hes certainly done his part to help the undecided ,if there really are any out there.
The Democrats don't need to take control of the Senate and house just get enough to establish again the checks and balances in both, with no clear majority Bush's insanity can be controlled until 2008,no nothing is ever a given, but thru hard work and truth the thinking Americans will come through for America and elect a Democratic President,if not God save us all and this world as we know it.(your God of choice)

He's pretty much done all he can do - now its just up to the voters to out and vote in the Democrats and maybe we can put an end to some of this insanity his administration is responsible for. You should still look forward to the fool announcing the capture of bin Laden a couple of days before the Fall elections - that will show us what a strong, courageous leader he is. It makes no difference that a lot of Americans will have died to satisfy his vanity. Let's hope the American people aren't so stupid as to fall for an electioneering stunt like that if it occurs.

you're basically getting your self right into a pissing contest. Time to allow pass of the gangster mentality. both activities are operating as a crew to spoil the country. Whom ever comes after BHO, will proceed the ball rolling, a useless ringer for Bush persevered Clinton's stride. stop being a lemming, and attempt to have an unique idea. there is the position the problem is, no human being thinks for themselves any more effective.

He thinks Karl Rove can get him out of the mess he made for his party, but he's guaranteed the control over the house to the democrats.

Yes, there is, he could start passing anti-republican laws that people like Michael Moore would be putting through if elected to the senate or the house of representatives.

Talk about counting your eggs before they hatch...
House, maybe... Senate, not likely... and I wouldn't venture to guess about 2008 until I see who is their candidate. Giving the nod to a member of their socialist standard bearers, such as Hillary, Kerry, or Gore assure the Respublicans will be residing in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue until January of 2013.

With GW Bush being so liberal, I am surprised that the Democrats aren't latching on to his coat-tails where Republican legislators have been against him.... and just sliding on into office.
I am glad they aren't...... but there isn't much difference between the parties.... communists vs socialists...... yet both want to feed off capitalist efforts.

We have to wait out this hurricane season to tell. Katrina exposed the incompetence of this Administratoin ("Heckuva job") as they allowed scores to die needlessly.
America will remember.
