And what "acts of terror" have the ACLU led to? submitting proceedings and alluring in protests to guard the freedom of those that you need to no longer consider? via your definition, why isn't the Bush administration a "terrorist" agency. they have lied to the yank human beings about safe practices threats that did not exist to advance the military commercial complicated and get the country to conform to pass to conflict causing unncessary lack of yankee existence as well as overseas lief. they have used those threats as a foundation to amplify the police power of the authorities and to wiretap individuals without a warrant. The ACLU not in any respect makes use of violence or the threat of violence to pursue its ends. an same won't be able to be suggested about the Bush administration.

This is the stupidest thing I ever heard.

As far as I know, the ACLU does not "use violence or threats to exert political terror among a civilian population to achieve a political or social objective". That's the definition of terrorism.
An organization that defends civil rights has nothing to do with terrorism, you "dummy".

The republican party, and the policies that it has implemented over the years (McCarthyism, Iraq war, so-called "Low Intensity" warfare, support for right-wing dictatorships all over the globe, support for the Nicaraguan contras (a terrorist organization) against the democratically-elected legitimate nicaguan government, CIA-planned overthrow of Salvador Allende in Chile, Jacobo Arbenz in Guatemala and Premier Mossadeq in Iran - both the three democratically-elected leaders - civilan bombings in Libya, Vetoing of resolutions against Israel in the UN, etc.) are closer to terrorism that what the ACLU will ever be.

The ACLU HATES Christianity and they do whatever they can to make sure that the Biblical Principles that the founders believed in are eliminated and do not exist in the United States of America.

Of course not. The ACLU is the most maligned and misunderstood organization in America. They stand up for the Bill of Rights when no one else will. I don't always agree with the organizations they defend, but I agree that everyone deserves protection under the first amendment. As the saying goes, "I disapprove of what you are saying, but I will defend to my death your right to say it." This philosophy was once more American than apple pie, and I'm horrified that some people now call it un-American.

They'll become a terrorist organization if gay marriage becomes legalized. So far, they are testing the boundaries.

I thought your avatar used the ACLU to put Chico out of business.

The ACLU is a vital organization to protect people's rights and while I disagree with many of their actions, I am glad they are in place to protect minorities and other small groups that are in jeopardy. I am against their stance on protecting the rights of criminals and others, but perhaps they would come in handy if I were accused of some crime but was blameless. Inspite of their disadvantages, I am glad they are around.

The ACLU does nothing other than protect the constitution upon which our great nation was founded. They have represented people from the extreme left to the exteme right in their support for the Bill of Rights.

No - but. like a terrorist organization, they must be opposed at every turn using all legal means (how's that for irony?)!
