It really struck a cord 'cos I was a teenager in the 80s and totally in love with Andrew McCarthy too - I had tonnes of posters of him and Michael J Fox ,but no boyfriend!!! It had me crying with laughter!! Have any blokes read it and liked it? Be honest (my hubby did and was laughing his head off !!)

I love Jenny Colgan, when I start reading one of her books, I have to finish it that day or the next day. I loved her book 'where have all the boys gone'.
I read her new book 'west end girls' but still think where have all the boys gone was the best.
She is such a funny writer. I also like Sara Mason and Lisa Jewell (esp here book Vinnie and Joy!)
