mermaids - sea cows - manatees... at least that's what they used to call manatees way back when, so i guess yes, i believe in mermaids since i've seen manatees. if you're ever in san diego you should check out manatee rescue at sea world.

I know 5 year olds who believe in mermaids. They think of Ariel as a wet princess while Cinderella is a dry one.
When they get to be school age they might rethink it. Let's see there is a young creature who has the top part of a woman and the back part of a fish. She climbs up out of the water breathing air on a rock and then dives down into the water getting her air from the water. She speaks to fish and makes jewelry from shells. She probably eats raw fish that she catches by swimming after them and then crunches them down with her teeny little teeth. Cute as she may look after the Disney treatment, kids pick up on the weirdness of her life style and look elsewhere for their role models.

I don't believe in mermaids, I believe in nessi and big foot, but mermaids I don't believe, because we have not had anyproof whatsoever that something like a mermaid even exists.

I love mermaids too, maybe not as much as you, but I love them. As far as believing in them, I don't know... To me, they are just beautiful mythical creatures. I plan on getting a tatoo of a mermaid by the end of the year.. I have a friend drawing one for me, and it's coming out nice.... I'm also fascinated by dolphins... I have a few figurines in my room... :)

I believe in them too - by the way, have you seen a movie called 'Splash' its really old but its awesome its about this mermaid that comes ashore with legs but as soon as water gets on them she gets a fin etc etc really good but really old..

God isn't a perception or a faith yet a guy or woman (not a guy) whom you get to appreciate for my section and then have faith. faith in God is in simple terms trusting the guy you realize for my section. If I met a mermaid then i could have faith in them yet I even have yet to fulfill one.
