Go on an architectural boat tour of Chicago. They go through the Chicago River and out into Lake Michigan. Even if you aren't interested in architecture, they are really interesting. And you see Chicago that you couldn't see any other way. Only do this between May and September, though because of the weather.
Second City is a great place to go to see great live improv comedy and have some drinks. It's something uniquely Chicago.

You don't have to be married 2 go out silly there are lots of places to go & married couples ain't the only ones that go out lol.
Just look in the yellow pages lol.Good Luck
