Angles that are supplementary add up to 180 degrees and angles that are complimentary add up to 90 degrees. Therefore, the supplementary angle of 140 degrees is 40 degrees, and the complimentary angle of that is 50 degrees. So there you go.

The supplement would be 180-140= 40 degrees
The complement of that would be 90-40=50 degrees

supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees so if you have a 140 degree angle, subtract that from 180, and the answer is 40 degrees, you can go back and check yourself by adding 40 + 140 and make sure it equals 180 degrees which it does
