I purchased mine on ebay for about 60 dollars (US). It arrived in a timely manner and was still in the original package.
The TI-83 Silver Edition comes with the bonus feature of having the complete periodic table in it. (I saw one tonight for $35!! on ebay)
But if you're looking to take math beyond algebra 2 (trig, calculus 1,2,3, differential equations, etc) you may want to look into a TI-89 Titanium. They retail on ebay for roughly 100, but when you get into higher math (diff eq esp), you'll be thankful you went to a more powerful piece of equipment.
Posted below are links to each calculator type on ebay right now. Hope this helps.

Check Office Max or Target. I got my TI-83 Plus and a hard case for it at Target. Currently they are around like 80 dollars. Cheap compared to when I bought mine at 110 dollars. Although, I had a discount thing, so it worked out.
