inline skating...bellydancing...brisk walking...vaccuuming...there are lots of options. bellydancing is my favorite because it's fun and it hardly seems like cardio when you get into it.

Walking is excellent and the only thing you need is your feet and a good pair of shoes. I try to my dog for a walk as often as I can, and she sets the pace (always quick), b/c she's so excited to be out. lol But I also live in Seattle, where it rains a lot and with our two boys, I really don't want a treadmill. So I ride an exercise bike and I can honestly say I love that more than walking. but you can also ride a real bike (which I do also; my kdis and I go for rides together).

how about fast brisk walking 3-5 miles a day. of course you start with the lower number and actually increase . Do you have a treadmill machine at home. ? How about those low impact exercises?

Walking. Walk around the block, then twice then three times as your stamina improves. No need to jog, just a brisk walk. Stop when you need to, then go back at it. The nice thing about walking is, you meet your neighbors, plus you end up a distance from your home, so you are forced to walk back. It's harder to "give up".

You should try an elliptical machine. Maybe start out around level 4 for 20 min. and work your way up from there.
