My friend, WHO SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS FOR FEAR THAT PEOPLE WILL HUNT HIM DOWN....fed the skinny, helpless, country kitten, beef jerky...and he went to pet it 5 minutes later...and it was taking a nap..OR SO HE THOUGHT DUN DUN DUN DUN...it was in fact, DEAD. *GASP*

Um, accidentally no. Purposely then, yes. First of all, if the kitten is stray it probably is vulnerable to many diseases and bacteria. Never heard of a kitten die from beef jerky, but the kitten may have been affected by some diseases or bacteria already. Your friend is nice to try and save it, but come on, feeding it beef jerky isn't a kitten's food. Milk and water would be a better option. Your friend did the best it could but, I'm sure your friend didn't mean to kill it.

I doubt that killed it, unless it choked or something. There's no such thing as luck, so I wouldn't worry about it. Doesn't sound like he had any intention of any harm anyway. There was probably something wrong with the kitten.

I don't believe in good or bad luck. Life is what it is. You get both. I doesn't sound like he killed the kitten on purpose. Maybe it strangled on the meat. Sad.

Yes if you kill a kitten accidentally it may be your bad luck but if you kill it intentionally it is the violation to the creature.
