The general populous has been making fools of themselves for far longer than Yahoo! Answers has existed.

The online presence of the less than intelligent or educated posts has existed since Usenet (one of the oldest kinds of user forums on the Internet).

So, no it hasn't changed my views.

Usually to find the good stuff you have to stay off the beaten path a bit. Often the weaker minded congregate in high traffic areas because they get the most attention that way. For the attention starved it doesn't matter if it's positive or negative attention.

If the people using Answers are a true reflection of today's society then I'm amazed at just how dumb so many people are. It acts as yet further confirmation that educational standards have been in decline for many years now.

When I started using the service I wasn't expecting to discover many Einsteins on here but I wasn't expecting so many truly incompetent people - and that's after making allowances for age and the fact that some people don't speak English as their first language.

I was pleased to find more conservatives than expected. Where I live, in Los Angeles, I'm surrounded by socialist/democrats. Who, I'm sure would vote for Adolph Hitler, were he to come back to life and run for president.

Long time on Yahoo, nothing or no one surprises me any more. Although at times it is scary!
