Etiquette dictates that you pass someone face to face, as when passing people seated in rows in movie theaters. The person sitting is supposed to stand and the person passing is supposed to pass facing them. I assume the same guidelines for other situations; it is more polite to pass in a way that allows you to make eye contact. So... unless you are truly messed up, that would be your penis side.
Besides, if she's cute, it gives her a good chance to check out your... um... physique, and provides a nice opportunity to flirt.

depend if he has a big butt. but i think it is more restpectful towards a woman if you press your back against the wall and face her, so she knows you don't just like rubbing your butt on women
