Is it considered rude to use the bathroom in someone else's home and go "number 2"? What if you have to go really bad and can't wait until you can use your own bathroom at home???

Isn't this what bathrooms were designed for? Of course be polite about it; make sure you use air freshener if available, open a window part way, etc. Check the bowl after flushing, and don't be afraid to swish the toilet brush if there's any residue. And, don't make a big deal about it. Everyone poops.

You need to courtesy flush - have your hand on the handle and flush as soon as "it" hits the water - to minimize the odor. It's also not like the person who's home you are visiting has never gone #2 before.

It only becomes offensive and rude when you start going #4 and up. This is cause for your visitation rights being revoked. If your friend stops inviting you over - then you will know why.

No, of course it's not rude. That's what the bathroom is for. Unless the people say "sure you can use our bathroom, but just don't do number 2". Otherwise, do what you gotta do. (no pun intended!)

depends on who the someone else is and how far away from home you are...if it is a family member then it is ok because if you have to go you have to go, but if you think that it can wait until you go home it is more proper to wait...if you live close by just excuse yourself and go do your business at your own home...

By all means, ask where the bathroom is and don't be embarrassed. If they have an exhaust fan, simply turn it on while you are in there. Be sure and turn it off when you leave.

Anyone who gets stuck up about this obviously can't be too close a friend. But I generally try to minimize the likelihood of running into this particular situation.

See if there is a wood pile in the garage. If not maybe a large pine tree out by the road. Maybe there is a large mailbox. Do you wear baggies for socks? Maybe you should start, just in case.

It's a natural function and sometimes you just can't wait. I wouldn't consider that rude.

I actually have one special friend who lets me go "number 2" in her home without even using the bathroom, but only if I let her have a bite afterward. . .it's actually kind of a turn-on. . .
