Have you ever hyped yourself up more than you are, or flat out
put something down that you never did, and got away with it?
Did you get the job? More importantly, were you able to do the job?

Everyone does it. Just make sure you do it in such a way that you know you will be able to do the job you are applying for.

These days it's called being Ambitious. Though I would never recommend applying for a job that you know you can't possibly do and lying and saying you have the experience when you don't.

And if you're smart, then when you get the job you'll learn very quickly how to do the things you lied about beforehand. hehe.'

Of course, Saysu. Understand, most people can do most jobs. Getting the job is the toughest part. Unless it was surgery or something equally skilled, yes, I could do the job!

I have never put down anything beyond what I can do, but I may have enhanced it some. I did hear a comedian talking about how she was helping hookers with their resumes to find employment. So she first told them to put down that they had experience in customer service. Then she asked them if they had more than one partner at a time, she then told them to put down, works well with others. Then she asked did they satisfy all their johns, she told them to put down dedicated. Hey, it's not lying....

Yeah. . . when I was auditioning for a role in a porn movie I told the director I had 11 1/2 inches when in reality I only had 9 1/2 inches. It all worked out though because they paired me with a girl who was just getting into the business and she could just barely handle me. If I was 2 inches longer she would have died.

Never had to, never wanted to, never did. I make it a point to live in a manner that lets me put things on my resume that I am proud of.

That's a very dangerous thing to do to your career.

If you get the job, you can also be fired for mis-representing yourself or even lying.'

No, way, indeed! What would be the point? The truth will always out and you will lose the job anyway. Didn't your mother teach you not to lie?

No way! Too many ways to get caught on that one. Why lie? If you are truly who you say you are, then market yourself and let the employer decide if you are qualified or not.

No. I wouldn't want my boss to ask me to do something because I lied on my resume and then have to say that I can't really do it.
