I take it that that is Yahoo mail what you want to do is go surfing and on the right precise hand there's a pull down menus 'concepts' then choose 'more desirable concepts' and seem all the way down to known textual content font the position you may choose your decision.

If you using Yahoo e-mail just use the tool bar and change the size

Above where you write in the box in your email, there are symbols and one of them is font. Click on that and lower the number and it will be smaller.
