Earlier, I asked "Why does my Outlook Express dial my ISP?"
Even though I specifically said in the details that "In options, I have 'DO NOT CONNECT' specified", all three respondents told me to change my options to "DO NOT CONNECT". I invite all non-brain-donors to give it a go.

I removed the other question.

I am on dial-up. Whenever I disconnect and leave Outlook up, it re-dials. It was working fine before on same software until I replaced my hard drive and re-installed everything.

I AM one of the Geek Squad. lol

I already tried unsetting it and re-setting it.

Reset all options. Set it to connect, and then press apply, and then set back to Do Not Connect. After that, call Microsoft or Geek squad, and ask them.

Because your Outlook Express likes your ISP and wants to talk to it.

Try using a different mail program. Many MS products have bugs.

You could have spyware/viruses that cause this.
