It is very sad and sentimental and sappy. Also, it's NOT Robert Redford but Ryan O'Neal who's Ali MacGraw's co-star.

No, but I have seen an Indian movie called "1942: A Love Story" With Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chowla.

Better to rent it. Good though a little sappy.

I tried watching in on cable, and it did not hold my interest to be honest, and I've never been a Robert Redford fan.
