It's so difficult to take people seriously with all the bad grammar.

Many people don't appreciate the fact that written communication is meant to be two-way: the writer and the reader both have to understand the message. People who "don't care about spelling and grammar" are only interested in shouting out their own views, and don't really care if anyone else understands them or not. Personally, I just ignore them.

Internet chats were made from bad grammar and techies. The legacy lives on. The check spelling could be done automatically, but this would infringe on my freedom of being a slob.
Heh, the spell check caught something...lol.

Also, time consuming when people are wanting to move onto the next questions and answers, plus we have to be all careful with spelling and grammar during working hours so being a bit haphazard can be a nice break, but I know what you mean, it can be hard to understand people sometimes.

I have wondered that many times myself.I always use spell check even if I think my spelling is O.K.
Maybe it's just laziness or maybe too many are just trying to get their 2 points and really don't care what their answers sound like.

Well, at least you spelled "grammar" right. I've seen people whining about this who spell it wrong. They're just plain lazy.

They forget to use it or as I have found a few times, spell check doesn't know how to spell it either.
