As a rule, the scales used at Physician offices are the most accurate. They should be calibrated properly and since they use a weight balance system and not just a digital output....they are the gold-standard. So I would go by the docs scale and adjust your home scale to it.

My scale at home is pretty close to the one at the doctor's office. I usually weigh naked at home to get a real idea of what I weigh. At the doctor's office, you had to consider the clothes you are wearing too. But the doc office should be most accurate.

At the doctor's office where I used to go, they'd add 20 pounds or more to whatever the scale actually said. My bathroom scale says 146, my mom's scale says I'm 145, the one at my friend's house says 148... the doctor says I'm 177.

But those scales are supposed to be calibrated at least once a year to maintain accuracy. It is possible to get different readings just because of what you are wearing (like if they don't give you a chance to take your coat off first, or you're wearing heavy shoes), or because you drank a lot of water before going to your appointment, or whatever.

They read more, because you have clothes on and you have been eating/drinking though the day.
My weight is sometimes off by 10 pounds when weighed in at the doctors office.

Should be accurate, about the same as your bathroom scale.
