Would it be chicken parmigiana, chicken Marsala, chicken Francoise, chicken cacciatorre? Those are some of the prevailing chicken dishes that I know of. Can you say if it was done as a chicken stew? If you can provide more information as to what it tasted like and what was in it possibly I can help but you are a bit too vague here.

Rub italian seasoning such as oregano, basil, garlic, onto the skin of the chicken. Put a can of beer into the carcass then bake or smoke it. The beer keeps it moist and tender.

In my home we do this recipe call:
Chicken and Spirits
• 4 tsp. olive oil • 1 quartered chicken or chicken parts if preferred • 3 cloves garlic, chopped • 2 onions, sliced • 1 can tomato sauce • 1 can tomato paste • 3 tbsp. freshly grated Romano cheese • 1 can beer • 1 c. white wine or if preferred red wine • 4 potatoes, peeled & quartered
1 pkg. mushrooms, whole or sliced • 1 tsp. dried oregano • 1 tsp. dried basil • 1 tsp. dried thyme • 1/2 tsp. salt • 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper • Salt & pepper to taste
Saute chicken, garlic and onions in olive oil. Add mushrooms, tomato sauce, paste and cheese. Pour one can of beer and add the wine. If sauce becomes too thick add 1/2 cup water. Add oregano, basil, thyme, salt and pepper and the quartered potatoes.
Bring to a boil then lower heat, season to taste with salt and pepper. cook on low for 30 minuets or until tender.
Serve with rice
Tip: You could add green and black olive slices.

It could be chicken cacciatore. Alot of people use beer for tenderness and wine for flavor. Might want to check it out. Could have also been chicken Marsala. Like I said, beer is just a tenderizer.

believe Mabe; provide the eating place a decision and ask for the call of the dish. in case you tell them how lots you enjoyed the dish they might even provide you the recipe besides! chefs like sharing their recipes incredibly whilst people love a dish lots.
