I've asked this before but didn't get that specific of an answer. I'm looking to buy an indoor grill pan to use over the stove. I've been looking at all kinds, non-stick, hard anodized aluminum, stainless steel, infused anodized, this one by Circulon that has "Hi-Lo Release..." Which is best? Which brand is better, Calphalon, Circulon, All-Clad? I think I want one that is round as opposed to square, but still relatively large. I want it to be easy to clean preferably dishwasher safe although most non-stick aren't. And then I think about the health risk of non-stick materials...Is stainless steel better in that case? Any advice will help! Thanks! (Oh and trying to stay around $50-$60...but will go higher if it's something really worth it) Most importantly I want something that will do good tasty grilling!

have u looked at a cast iron grill pan? i love cooking with cast iron. maybe they aren't dishwasher safe, but they are fairly easy to clean up...just wipe em off. if u ask me, i think u can fit more stuff on a square or rectangle pan, but if it's only for one or two people, it doesn't really matter. all clad is a great brand. it's usually more expensive, but it's made for the cooking industry. i'm a chef and we use all clad pots and pans at work. i really dont think non stick is good for a grill pan...just hit it with some pam spray before you throw on the food and you'll be fine.

I have a long, rectangular, non-stick grill pan. Bought mine at bed bath and beyond or linens and things for about $30. Its grill on one side, and flat on the other side. I wouldnt recommend it for the dishwasher, but it is definately a hell of a lot easier to clean than a cast iron one which will almost definately be covered in rust without you even touching it. Stick with the non-stick coated one, better buy and will last you longer without any hassle.

I own the grill pan from Pampered Chef. It is 11" sq. and runs $95. It is Hard-anodized, heavy-guage aluminum, has Dupont Autograph nonstick coating, is oven safe to 350 degrees and has a lifetime guarantee. It is item number 2385 maybe you could check it out at www.pamperedchef.com . I absolutly love mine. The food cooks just right, juicy and delicious.

I have an Emeril's Cast Iron Grill Pan and I love it. I bought it for $25 at Robinsons May. I know that many locations have closed. I'm not sure if Macy's carries the same things.

I love cast iron pans. Their temperature stays consistant and they are very easy to clean.

Here's a site that sells it.

calphalon is by far the best. I have one and use it several times a week. Holds up really well to heat .
It is a little pricey, but you won't regret it. You'll actually save money in the long run. The cheaper ones won't last as long as the calphalon.
