No matter what "program" you use to lose weight it comes down to eating less and sweating more. The biggest problem people have is motivation and self discipline. Motivation techniques are best when you have someone there to support you. Having someone with the same goal you can work with can help keep you motivated. The self discipline comes when you start seeing the good results, when you look and feel better it gives you the self discipline to continue.
I suggest you find a partner in your goal. I also suggest you eat very little for 3 or 4 days, this will show you the results in the mirror and the scale and help jump start the diet. After eating a lot less things taste better and you don't need huge portions.

I've been doing tons of research on diets. It seems like the best diet depends on your needs. But as for comfortability, try drinking a bottle of water before every meal. That should help over eating. Also, rather than eating large meals, chop up your eating into smaller portions throughout the day. That will tell your body that food is plentiful and won't store much food into fat cells. And of course, exercise!! Both cardio and resistance training. The more cardio you do will increase the calories you expend for the day. Resistance training will build lean tissue which will burn more calories even when you sleep!! I hope this will help you. Good luck!

Don't let yourself starve. Eat proper portion sizes of healthy foods. I say this but I haven't eaten properly in weeks and it shows. When I get too skinny or don't feel like I'm eating the right things I use MyPyramidtracker.gov to make sure I eat enough. I always fall short of calories for the day but it helps. Lose weight safely.

Try making some different lifestyle choices. Start by taking the stairs and the elevator at work. Start with one flight and the elevator. Gradually take on more as you get comfortable.

Choose fruit in lieu of processed sugar. Once you're off of the processed sugars, tackle portion control.

Sudden changes can be too much for some people. If you have an occasional candy bar, there's always tomorrow.

Good luck!
