please tell me this is a joke. I have no idea what even you are planing for, but if this is your routine to prepare for that day, you will look like death warmed over! You need to eat a minimum of 1300 calories a day, anything under that is considered a starvation diet. Then you plan on working out for 5 hours??? Thats is horrible! ever hear too much of a good thing is NOT good? Your body will be in starvation mode with 12 hours of this regimine and you will be storing more fat at a quick rate....then after aug. 31 when you finally let yourself eat food, you will gain every pound back and then some and your metabolism will be SO slow you will gain weight just eating normal.

Let'see, August 31 is 9 days.....do this: Cardio 1 hour BEFORE breakfast.....eat 5 super small meals of 250 calories. Eat a balanced portion of lean protein (egg whites, chicken, tuna, etc) and complex carbs like oatmeal, brown rice, whole grains, etc. After 4pm, no carbs except lettuce, tomotoes, broccoli...stuff you can make a huge salad w/.....put a portion of chicken in your salad.....use only low cal dressing.

during the day weight train so you hit each bodypart one time for the week (back, biceps, triceps, leg, shoulders, chest, abs) or do another hour of cardio.

That is a drastic diet and workout routine for anyone. After aug 31, add a few hundred more calories and cut your workout down to once a day.

but do not do this crazy salad and workout from hell you had planned!

No
It depends on what you consider salad. Some people think salad is lettuce only, that is unhealthy right there.

Other people think salad is: lots of cheese, plenty of dressing(which is the only real culprit), crutons, lots of nuts, and lots of the other things like eggs.

You need a balanced salad, with little or no dressing. You want some, small portions, of the protien and calcium foods, with your greens and other vegetables. Such as some boiled egg, nuts, maybe a tiny bit of cheese.

The water and salad idea is a good one, as long as you don't limit your salad to only a few items and make sure you don't eat too much fat. I think you can do it.

Women usually fluctuate up and down about 5 lbs at any given time. I like your idea though, I know it will work well.

You don't need to work out 5 hours a day. One hour to and hour and a half each day or 2 hours every other day will work

Your body needs time to recouperate in between workouts. You don't want to injure yourself, get sick(like a cold or hurt a foot, that can happen) and be back on the couch not able to work out.

Good Luck I am sure you can do it. !!

If you switch to this diet and exercise you will certainly lose 5-8 pounds in the time given, BUT it will be nearly all water weight, not body mass. Also, eating olny salad will not give you enough protein to maintain your muscle structure with all of the exercise. Your body needs protein and if you exercise (overexercise) and don't get enough you will start using protein FROM your muscles to maintain your other bodily functions and needs. If you want to exercise this much you need to at least take a complete protein suppliment because you will be building muscles (using protein).

Be aware that exercising will build more muscle which weighs more than fat, so as you lose fat and exercise a lot, you will gain muscle which could mean you may look a lot better, but not lose any weight, or you may weigh more. This is not a bad thing, but a good thing. You will be healthier and look better even though you may weigh the same. You must keep a healty diet!

FYI - Crash diets NEVER WORK in the long term

Eating only salad and water is not balanced eating you will be depriving your body of many need vitamins and protein. Working out for more that 1 hr a day will cause a loss in not only fat but muscle mass which burns more cal at rest. So when you stop the crash diet the weight will come back and more times than not a few pound extra. Diets like Atkins work well for short term weight loss. Not to be use for a long period of time. Eating balanced diet and getting active and staying active is your best bet. A healthy heavy 6lbs is better than a sick 6lb loss.

You won't get enough calories.

You're body will go into starvation mode and hold onto its fat.

You're metabolism will lower.

It will be very hard to lose even a pound.

You will lose energy and feel fatigued.

Without proper nutrients, your face could break out more and you can get dark circles around your eyes.

Your body will start to use up it's MUSCLE. So when your weight gets lighter, it's MUSCLE that you are losing, not fat. So the jiggly fat will still be there.

You can lose maybe 5-10 lbs, but it will be all of WATER and MUSCLE. So you won't look any different.. the fat will still be there.

Crash diets don't work.

When you start eating normally again, your metabolism will be so low that you will GAIN weight and be in a worse off position than you are now.

Don't listen to the people who tell you that you'll lose alot of weight. You won't. If anything, you will have some serious health problems, and three pounds of lettuce actually makes you GAIN weight. If you eat only salad and drink only water, you won't be getting the nutrients you need and hurting your body more. This isn't safe, and if you absolutely need to lose weight, instead of just doing it for yourself, see a healthcare provider, don't do it on your own.

You'll probably loose a lot of water weight - though it's better to work out for an hour or so a day/every couple of days and eat 4 or 5 smaller meals if you want to lose weight healthily. 5 hours a day -- not a good idea and you won't be able to keep it up without injuring yourself.

Try running, and eating lighter - you'll lose weight pretty quickly.

don't do that sh*t! here's what to do: for the short term, drop starchy, high carbs from your diet, like potatoes, pasta, rice, corn, etc. Basically, eat lean protein, and fruits and veggies and keep your calorie intake at a normal level. THEN, up your cardio to 45-60 minutes a day, everyday, until your target day. If you are under 40 yrs old, the weight will burn away quickly. When saddlebags start to appear on my hips and I need to get into a slim skirt by the end of the week, I follow this plan and am slimmer and healthier for it.

You are going to become weak. You need some source of energy to be able to workout efficiently and salads are not going to do this for you. You should eat oatmeal in the morning this will give you fiber and energy to workout. Maybe some fruit in the afternoon and a well balanced meal in the evening.

You're going to get very hungry. And probably pass out somewhere along the line.

I don't understand why people obsess about things like 6 pounds. No one, I mean NO ONE at school is going to notice the loss of 6 frickin' pounds- they're all too worried about their own appearance.
