I want an oatmeal cookie that is chewy but not flat or too puffy and cakey.
Do you have a recipe that you have already tried and you love. Please share it with me.

I use a regular recipe, but I cook the raisins until plump and use the raisin water instead of tap water. Makes great cookies. You can get the recipe from Bettycrocker.com.

Buy a pack of Dad's oatmeal cookies and soak in a bowl of water for 2 minutes no more no less, pat dry with paper towel and let sit for another 2 minutes. You may freeze them after above and then thaw in microwave for warm chewies. Serve'm up and watch your guests rave.

Texture is all in the way that they're cooked. Cook them until the edges are golden and they are not too loose in the middle. Overcooking cookies is what makes them crunchy.
