I suffered from severe indigestion for years and heartburn that would interrupt my sleep at night. I had a nurse practitioner recommend that I try taking cider vinegar tablets and they have done the trick for me. I was taking pepcid and various remedies until I found these to be the most helpful. I purchase them at Rite Aid in my part of the country. The company is Natures Bounty and the website is www.NaturesBounty.com if you cannot find them in your part of the world. I also will take a couple of spoonfuls of actual apple cider vinegar if I am going to be eating a spicy meal. I also cut out the use of margarine which really contributed to the daily struggle with heartburn. I only have a problem if I forget to take the daily dose of two tablets, and I'll soon reach for them. The acid is a different type of acid than what your stomach and digestive system produces and it will actually work very quickly, within a few days. Good luck and have a good night!

Try Prilosec OTC. If you take it every day for 4 days it will slow down stomach acid production and you will not get indigestion. Of course you need to keep taking it every day or every other day to continue getting the good effect.

If that doesn't do it check with a doctor to make sure you don't have a more serious condition than plain old indigestion.

Try eating a small banana. I read that this is suposed to help with heartburn. If you have it a lot I suggest going to the doctor and getting a prescription. They really do work.

Is this a one time thing--tonight--or has it been happening? If it has been going on a while, you need to see a doctor. They may need to check your stool for blood. Not trying to scare you but it could get very bad if not treated.
