The suggestions above will only work if you are plugging your mics directly into the karaoke machine itself, which is not the way most professional karaoke systems are configured. The mics are usually plugged into a mixer or powered mixer. You will need to connect to the final mixed output from the mixer in order to record both the music and the vocals from the mic.

Sure you can., but you will need an "audio-out" or a "earphones-out" jack from the karaoke machine and a "line-in" jack from your laptop. If you have these then, this would be easy. Here are the rest of the things that you wil need:
1) a stereo phone plug to phone plug connector.
2) audio recording software. ( there are tons of this from the web)

You should check if mono/stereo option is available from the "audio-out" or "earphones-out" of your karaoke machine. This is important because your laptop "line-in" is usually stereo. This means your karaoke output should also be stereo but it will still work if it's mono, you will just have to edit the audio file later on.
To record:
1)Plug one end of the phone-plug connector to the "audio-out" or "earphones-out" of the karaoke machine then the other end to the "line-in" of your laptop.
2)Go to control panel>audio settings>recording option>select line-in>set recording level to 20-30%
3)Run your recording software

get an audio cable...has to have two MALE connectors....if your karaoke machine has a place to plug in speakers or headphones, or any AUDIO OUT plug, stick it in there....then plug the other end into your mic or any AUDIO IN on your laptop....then record it....there are some other programs you can download too that might be a little more user friendly than a "sound recorder"

Why don't you save it in a recorable file, with a microphone. As long as there is noise going into the mic you can record, then you can play it back.
