It depends on the fish. I like to marinate my fish first. If it's one that will easily fall apart on the grill I use a grill basket. I like salmon marinated in balsamic vinegar, honey and soy sauce. Then grilled up until it's done. The marinade makes a sweet glaze on the outside.

IMO, the best way to grill it is "on the half shell." Leave the fish attached to it's skin and scales. Marinate or season as usual, then grill it scale-side-down. The meat will come easily of fthe skin/scales with yoru fork while eating. This is especially good for tender fish that would fall apart will grilling w/o the "half shell" to hold it all together.

I like to lightly coat it with butter and then put it on the grill.

if you want something different, try grilling it asian style...marinated in ground chillies, tumeric , salt, pepper and lime juice...very spicy but definitly tasty.

You CAN bake it in the dishwasher... I actually works
