Recently I decided to start a Tupperware career. I thought everyone was still interested in Tupperware and figured it would be very easy to sell. I have been stuck in a rut since I signed on. I have marketed everywhere and still no results. Is anyone still interested in Tupperware or is it a thing of the past? I figured since you don't have to have a party to order and you could place single orders it would sell better. I also though that since all of the items each person purchases in shipped directly to them it would make it easier to sell. They even have online parties too. Any input would be greatly appreciated! And if anyone would like to help me meet my quota, since I have had no sales, before I get the boot!, my web address is www.mytupperware.com/Stasertrio

I think anything that's sold by the independent rep method is a waste and I'm so annoyed when I want one thing and can't find a way to get it. Sometimes in major malls I've seen a kiosk selling TW but not often. There are so many similar items out there now competing. For my hard to find items (makeup products), I sometimes need to order online but I can do it from the convenience of my home, and I don't have some desperate Rep bugging me to buy more stuff.

I'd suggest a different career or sell something that is more novel. Tastefully Simple is quite popular bc you can have the parties and it involves FOOD. More guys are willing to attend esp around football season time. The wives can do that while the guys watch football.

BTW, advertising here is cheesy and against the "rules."

Tupperware's a bit mis-understood, because it's been around so long. I went to a Tupperware party recently and was surprised by how much of the stuff I wanted. But I had to go and see it all in action, and let people talk to me about it, before I realized it was more than just plastic bowls with lids.

It doesn't sell itself. Flipping through the catalog or shopping online really doesn't do any good, as it doesn't really talk about the products. Unless you know what you're looking for, it's hard to understand the benefits. You really do have to have a party so you can explain the stuff.

Frankly, I think Tupperware will be around for a while because they really do try to keep up with the times. Also, although there are other products out there like Tupperware, they don't have the same quality/promises. I've had to replace all my other plastic containers within a couple of years, but Tupperware's lifetime warranty means I can always get new pieces for free.

Anyhow, I think you are going to have to bite the bullet and do a few parties, to get it going. With the new lines, and all the cool recipes, you really can make a party that is all about cooking and using the products, and really cut down on the whole "sit in a circle and pass the sippy cups around" thing. We don't do it at bridal or baby showers anymore, so we don't do it at Tupperware parties, either.

I agree with another poster, though, it isn't a consumable or frequently replaced item. Selling makeup or food is a more self-sustaining product, because people eat the food and then want more. Those options might be a little lower maintenance than Tupperware.

Hope that helps!

I used to sell Tupperware while my daughter was a toddler. You should network with other Tupperware consultants. There are great ideas out there that you can use to sell your products.

To sell the modular mates, take before and after pictures. To sell the Rock 'N Serve containers, put a package of ramen in the small bowl. Let your customers know that they can actually cook ramen in that bowl. Just add water and put in the microwave. It's great for taking to work.

The best way to sell Tupperware is to use it yourself. I still have all my Tupperware containers. I have my Bold 'N Blue modular mates displayed on my counter and in my cabinets. I use them for everything. I have my One-Touch cannisters on my counter for storing flour, sugar, coffee, and cornstarch. I take my Quick Shake Container with me to potlucks to hold my Chinese Chicken salad dressing.

Try to get a friend or relative to have a party. It would be easier if you allow them to use your house so the guests can look through your cabinets for ideas on how they can use Tupperware.

Hope this helped! I love Tupperware!

I love tupperware and still think its the best. I do not have a tupperware catalog, and because of the price, would only buy a few pieces at a time. I understand that there are a lot of comperable items out there now, but Tupperware is still the best. I love it

I think Tupperware was great back in the day. But now? I think therea are equivalent products at Walmart or BB&B for a much better price. Plus, people seeling it for less that retail on eBay makes it hard to justify ordering and paying full price for it. Also, very few people are cooking and have leftovers anymore. Any leftovers nowadays come in their own little styro clamshell form the restaurant.... JMHO

Yes!

I also attempted to sell Tupperware...trust me they don't kick you out! As long as you pay your monthly dues to keep up your web site you are good.

I just tried to sign on to my account and I got a notice that said my account was inactive...I haven't paid for my web site in over 2 years but I still continue to receive emails!!!
