Get a meat thermometer. They are great! You can get a mini version with RARE, MED RARE, MED, MED WELL, WELL temperature zones. I get it right all the time now.

Juz cook it almost double time as when you cook medium-rare steak. Normally for medium-rare steak you need 8-10 mins. So for well-done steak you'll need minimum 15 min til 20 mins. Dun use too high temperature or the steak will get too hard.
Use medium temperature.
You always can check the steak if it's already done/not by cutting a bit in the middle of the steak (dun cut it through, only a bit). When you see no more blood/red fluid coming out, your steak is done.
And if you dun wanna your guests to see the marks from cutting, juz turn back the steak when you serve it.
Happy cooking! ^o^

Tenderloins well done??NNNOOO!!!!!!! I would find out if m guest would take it a little pink because a well-done tenderloin would possibly be tough.. I think the temp would be 160. Just cut a slit in the middle and keep checking until you dont see any pink. Or press on the steak until you see clear liquids come out. Good luck!

Cook it until you can press a spatula or fork down on it, and the juice runs out clear (not red). Also, make one more piece than you think you'll need, and when you think they're all done, cut the extra one down the middle just a bit to check the inside. Well done takes about twice as long as med-rare, depending on how you're cooking it.

You can use your hand to test doneness. Get a feel for how each level of doneness is by poking the fleshy bit of your palm below your thumb. When your hand is relaxed, that bit feels rare. When you touch your index finger and thumb, it feels medium rare. Second finger it's medium, third is medium-well, and little finger is well-done. Just keep poking the side of your thumb and the steak and you'll cook them perfectly.

ok simple rule of thumb, the length of time to cook steaks really depend on the thickness and heat of cooking. but if you press the steak with your finger and it is springy, it means that it is still rare, this is because the steak still has juices in it, the less springy it is, the more cooked it is. well done will not be springy to the touch.

.....well you've come to the right place, Ive never made a steak pink before well cause...I suck at cooking them, depending on how thick they are..takes about 5 min a side, and put a lid on it as well...that will help cook it all the way through....depending on how they like it..-shrugs-
