Gross,midless right-wing generalization.
Ahem.
People who call themselves liberal or conservative BOTH may or not believe in god. The question is,with all the amorality and corruption in the Republican party, why are conservatives convinced that said"god" will forgive them of just about anything?

There goes the typical right wing spiel that liberals are Godless, when in fact many liberals espouse strong religious values. The only problem is that right-wingers subscribe to such a narrow framework of theological interpretation, that any deviance from that framework is seen as akin to godlessness or atheism. I think if Jesus were to come down today, many conservative pundits wouldn’t recognize him as “godly” since he wouldn’t be for such hallowed conservative platforms like pro preemptive war and reducing aid for the poor.

Well my views fall more along conservative guidelines but I try not to label myself . I haven't seen a liberal who's scared of the devil yet doesn't believe in god, i believe most liberals stray away from religeon as to not get cought up in all the illogical fundamnetalism of it, which in my opinion is the source of conflict we have today . I dont see many conservatives who are logical in any sense. Conservatism seems to have been hi-jacked by more extremist "god fearing" individuals who are nothing more then wolf in sheeps clothing if you ask me .

yo, think about it. if i was scared of the devil, why would global warming bother me? hell on earth, my friend. hell and heaven exist on earth. and we have the power to choose and the ability to make a difference and turn this godforsaken earth into heaven.
why are conservatives such negative people that they don't think change can occur or good things can happen here on earth but they believe they'll find it after they're dead? dead. stupid.

Look another blanket statement that completely ignores reality and makes utterly ridiculous assumptions...
But to answer your question... because God is a personal intangible ideal, and left for each person to believe in or not as they choose.
Devils, on the other hand, are objectively recognizable based on their actions. Such as national fraud, war crimes, or spreading hatred just because you don't like someone.

Can I have some of what you're smoking? I'm a liberal and I believe in a GOD, just not YOUR god. And just as I don't puch my god down your throat, I don't want you to shove your god down mine.
