the beauty of this movie is that it's so bad... it's obviously a terrible, terrible movie and everyone knows it... even the people who made it!

snakes on a plane is the best title because it's such a terrible title that you can't help but know it's a bad movie. It's supposed to be a horror/action flick, but instead, it's #1 because people are going to watch it just to laugh at how bad it is...

cult classic in the making.

That's the point. When you make the stupidest movie ever, you need the stupidest name. Otherwise everyone will be like, that's stupid.

i became watching the MTV action picture Awards and Samuel L Jackson did observed the action picture, exceptionally even as he stated "there's a motherf**king snakes contained in the plane". i assume this is probably a stupid call, which has to do with terrorism and someone would attempt to rid of the deadly snakes from harming the passengers and the crew. My sister's searching ahead to ensure the action picture and she advised me that it may be a trippy flick.

Actually "Snakes on a Plane" was only supposed to be the working title. According to the grapevine, the cheesy title is why Samuel Jackson wanted to be in it. When the studio wanted to rename it, sammy said if they changed it, he's drop out. So it stayed. So if you don't like it, blame Sammy!

Yes, It is. It's Like, Spiders in a Bathtub, or Dog in the Yard. Whatever. But i like snakes, and i know i will hate this movie. Snakes will only bite if they feel threatened, not because they want to be killed. And if they needed to get the snakes out, why not just land on the closest place you can find. No Duh.

Hey, if you don't like the name, then you will surely hate the movie. The name is the best part.

I got a worse one:

Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood

"Snakes on a Plane" would've been OK if it were not as literal as it unfortunately is.

Maybe not the worst name. The movie's name is way too obvious and childish.

No, it was brilliant. The odd name sparked one of the most innovative and extensive guerrilla marketing campaigns of all time. There was more buzz about this movie prior to opening than any other in the last 20 years.
