INSTEAD OF TRYING TO CREATE SOME FAKE DRAMA THEY SHOULD HAVE CONCENTRATED ON MORE FIGHTS BETWEEN THEM. THE STORY WAS GOOD THOUGH.

I thought this movie was going to be a stinker, but I ended up liking it and having a pretty good time watching it with friends. At least they tried to explain the relationship between Alien and Predator, so it half way made sense. I have to say, they made the hero a female just like in all of the alien films - which I didn't expect. I thought the antarctica thing was farfetched, but so is the backdrop for a lot of action movies. I do agree with you on the R rating. No way can you make a great horror film with a pg13 rating...but it was all about money. They wanted kids to come back and see it over and over. In a nutshell it turned out to be a pretty fun ride, that initially I thought was going to be terrible.

AvP was pretty good. I never followed the comics so I don't know how they went, but as a stand alone movie it was pretty good.

my biggest problem with the movie was that they seemed to have respect for the women's skills but they leave her in Antarctica to die with no way home. they should have taken her with them.
