I have no clue. But you should probably consult this with your doctor.

You may have some type of indoor air quality issue or you are allergic to something in the house. Until the house and/or you are tested for possible allergens it is a guessing game. This is a referral to a national association;
Indoor Air Quality Association Inc.
phone #301-231-8388
email iaqa@aol.com
This is not a solicitation for business, it is a national association of professionals dealing with indoor air quality issues from testing, prevention and remediation/construction. If you look at the website it will give you a map and you can click on your state to see what/who is available. I would recommend testing first as much of the testing can be non-invasive to your home ie. air sample, swab sampling and closed wall inspection with a borescope. Good luck!

I dont know how old the house is but they may have insulated it soo tight to where more air is vented out than in. We just moved into an apartment thats like that. I used to wake up having trouble with my nose stooped up so I opened 1 single window 1 inch & the problem went away. I thought it was just me so I closed the window the next night & once again we were all stuffy. Depanding on how large the house is you may want to open a window in the room next to you & 1 in another room. hopefully that helps.

This might have something to do with you constantly shampooing the rug, those chemical are known to cost allergy problems in sufferers.Please stop for awhile and see what happens, also you can be allergic to your pets and don't know it, try having less pets and see what happens. Most of us love pets but they can be harm full to our health.See a specialist maybe an E.N.T. to see what's going on. Good Luck, and wish you well.

Have a company come in and inspect your house for mold. It's terrifying what mold spores are capible of. My cousin was rushed to the hospital after she moved into her new appartment. She said it was like trying to breath through a straw.

Find out EXATLY what in the carpets.....are they new?
Check the chemicals in the carpet, what was used, some new carpeting can contain chemicals that cause Kawasaki's disease.
